The State Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is looking for seasonal employees to work in state parks and historic sites throughout the state.
These positions are temporary and new employees can work for them for up to six months.
According to IDNR, the workers will perform routine maintenance work on the territories, such as mowing, landscaping, painting, cleaning, loading and unloading vehicles, chopping firewood and much more. Other responsibilities include helping to prepare places for hunting and fishing, preparing places for various social events, helping with the care of plants and food plots, maintenance of tools and equipment, as well as basic maintenance of vehicles.
Workers will also check safety, clear and maintain trails and paths, install signs and much more. According to IDNR, they will also assist park visitors and guide them when necessary, as well as participate in explanatory and educational activities at historical sites.
